As the holiday season approaches, we’re thrilled to bring you a curated list of our incredible partner roasters offering women-powered coffees from our producer partners in Costa Rica and Mexico. De Mello Coffee Roasters  

De Mello, the Toronto-based coffee roaster, has long been a supporter of our Costa Rican producer partners, seamlessly blending a dedication to social impact with an eye for captivating visual storytelling. This season, they’re featuring Aracelly’s fruit-forward coffee, a vibrant addition to their lineup. While it may not make an appearance in this holiday’s offerings, keep an eye out for Franciny’s exclusive Cinnamon-bomb lot—it’s an experience worth waiting for when it returns to the roster.

Driftaway Coffee

Driftaway Coffee, the Brooklyn-based roaster renowned for its commitment to ethical sourcing and traceability throughout the value chain, has launched a new blend this season that promises a deeper impact. This blend brings together three distinct coffees from unique producing countries, with Amalieth Coffee playing a starring role. The result? A bold, nuanced cup with tasting notes of dark chocolate, toasted bread, and baking spices—a perfect balance of richness and warmth.

Swelter Coffee

Meet Magnolia Blend, crafted by Swelter Coffee’s owner and roaster, Stephanie, who was inspired by meeting Seilyn and Mayra at the 2022 Women-Powered Coffee Summit. This blend combines the best of their coffees, featuring tasting notes of dark chocolate, rose, and fruit punch. This blend is a meaningful and delightful gift named after Stephanie's daughter, Magnolia.

Mnemonic Coffee

Mnemonic is dedicated to crafting unforgettable coffee experiences with a carefully curated selection of thoughtfully sourced beans. Since their visit to Alto el Vapor farm in Costa Rica in 2022, Sarah and Gia have been sourcing from the family behind this exceptional coffee. Currently, this delicious offering is available locally at their brew bar and retail shelf in San Diego.

A Vienna-based roaster with big love for coffee, and even bigger commitment to sustainability in the value chain, Beandependent currently has two women-powered coffees from Costa Rica and Mexico available locally in Vienna for their regulars and new visitors! This roastery is a champion of community-focused coffee initiatives!

The God Shot

Known for their expertly curated coffee selections and dedication to positively impacting the coffee industry, the duo at The God Shot stands out with their unique approach to roasting and sourcing. They uphold their commitment by sourcing consistently and ethically while roasting their coffees using green energy—making them one of the few in Belgium to do so! Currently, they offer Araceli’s Mexico washed lot, featuring delightful notes of nougat, cherry jam, apricot tea, and a chocolatey finish.

Alf & Bet

We love this Prague-based roaster and coffee company for their commitment to creating lasting change! Since visiting Mayra Solís’ family farm in 2021, they’ve been a steady supporter, consistently purchasing from the family. Torrefaction Papillons

Torrefaction Papillons is dedicated to sourcing primarily from women-led farms, and their current menu highlights Rita's Pacamara semi-washed coffee from Costa Rica. Coffee Circle

This holiday season marks Coffee Circle’s debut collaboration with Seilyn and Rosa Aura from Costa Rica to create a special Christmas blend. Their festive blend brings together nutty, creamy flavors with subtle hints of nutmeg and mandarin, offering a cozy warmth perfect for the season. This special offering features two single-origin coffees from Costa Rica: Arleen & Maria’s black honey espresso roast with notes of brown sugar and apple, and Arley’s filter roast with hints of plum, marzipan, and dark chocolate. Notably, this marks Arley’s first export with us, and we’re sure it won’t be the last! We also admire Warawul Coffee for its dedication to social justice and equity in the coffee industry. They feature coffee from Marisol Serrano in Veracruz with notes of oolong, red apple, chocolate, and almond. Our long-term partner in Taipei that has been serving Ericka Mora’s delicious honey processed coffees from Tarrazu, Costa Rica for 3+ years now! While they do not operate a web-shop for people to purchase this delicate and tea-like coffee, they are absolute favorite of the local! If you’re in Taipei, be sure to visit them!

Cypher Coffee

Dubai-based roaster, Cypher is loved for their visual storytelling as well as their focus on delivering quality and sustainably sourced coffees! Not yet available, but they are waiting to launch some delicious Costa Rican lots for their clients in January 2025, so be sure to check back on them! Renowned for introducing unique coffees to the region.
